An Overdue Request
Characters: Luna, Zach Summary: Luna puts her foot down again. Or rather, her quill.
Luna glanced over at the sofa where Neville was sleeping, with Herbert in his new favorite napping spot, draped across Neville's side. So far she hadn't been summoned by any screams of terror, so apparently Herbert had the good sense to make himself scarce when Neville began to awaken.
On the other hand, perhaps waking up to his least favorite of her pets would have finally got him to follow through with his agreement to see a Healer. Since that hadn't happened, she would follow through on her threats to owl Zach instead. She'd given Neville long enough to take the initiative.
Dear Zach,
Neville has been feeling ill for a few weeks now, mostly nausea and fatigue. He's been having nightmares (I think he doesn't know I know about that, silly man!) and trouble sleeping lately, which may be a symptom or a contributing factor to his illness, but I'm not sure which.
He keeps saying he's feeling better, probably to put me off pressing the issue of seeing a Healer again, and then he's right back at it, sicking up. It's got bad enough that he's actually staying home from work. However, he doesn't seem to have a fever, and this has been going on rather long for the flu and much to long for it to be something he ate. He hasn't sprouted fairy wings on his earlobes either, which leaves out Gillywump-Sniffwistle Syndrome, so I'm at a loss for what could be wrong. No doubt you can understand why this concerns me even more than it might otherwise.
He told me he'd make an appointment to see someone, but he seems to have mysteriously forgotten to do so. If you could please schedule an appointment for him and let me know when to shove him through the Floo he should be there, I'd be most appreciative. I'm sure he can clear a place in his busy itinerary of lying on the sofa and grouching at our cat for whatever time is most convenient for you.
And if I may suggest, I do believe that some of the more embarrassing tests might be in order. I seem to recall reading something that linked nausea and impotence once, for instance, but you being the Healer, I'm sure you would have a better idea of what might be... appropriate to check for.
