Serenus glanced back at Gaius and squeezed his hand, offering a reassuring smile. He could see the strain on Gaius' face, and he wished there was something he could do to ease it, but he knew from experience that it would take time and distance. In the meantime, he intended to be there for Gaius in whatever way he was needed.
"You don't have to make any decisions about it right now," he whispered, leaning over so the words would be for Gaius' ears only. "Everything will wait until you're ready to deal with it."
