Harry hadn't thought he could lose Faelan that quickly, but if the boy didn't want to accept him, Harry would have to live with it. He wasn't going to force care on him.
The matter of the house had been lurking in the back of Harry's mind ever since the pervasive silence started after Gaius left. Sirius was everywhere there, and the memories hurt, but they were still memories; a connection they'd never have again. For all he knew, Sirius' will left the house to Faelan or Gaius, so, for now, it was one of a hundred things Harry wasn't letting himself think about too much.
