Regulus glanced at Serenus, surprised but pleased by his remark. He'd thought Serenus was indifferent to the idea of putting the past behind them and developing something more than a casual acquaintance, and it was somewhat reassuring to hear Serenus' true thoughts voiced plainly.
"I... am not adept at sharing my burdens," he admitted, turning his attention to Gaius. "As a Black and a Slytherin, I have far too much practice at shouldering them on my own."
