Ron kept a hand on his shoulder a bit longer than was probably necessary but reckoned it was welcome after he'd lingered a bit over the hug. There were times when growing up with a huge, tactile family came in useful, and knowing when someone needed support or just an extra hug was one of them.
"Mum understands, Harry. Seriously, she does. Hell, I'm rarely there longer than it takes to get the peanut and sneak a biscuit myself and the rest of us are so scattered, she's used to it. But she is fairly sure you need feeding up again."
The grin on his face remained, but his eyes were searching again. "So, you ready for this then?"
