Harry went off to see if the others wanted to go yet, and Lily moved into James' lap, tracing his jawline and regarding him closely. She didn't ask him if they'd made the right choices or if he was having second thoughts; she knew they had and he wasn't. Instead, she kissed her husband deeply and left him with a sharp nip on his lips, whispering "I love you" as she pulled away.
James just shook his head and laughed, feeling dizzy and ready for another go all over again. Harry paid Tom and waved them over to the Floo, and James stood with Lily in his arms, throwing her up a couple times until she was laughing and hitting his shoulders for him to let her down.
He did, and he kissed Lily again until Harry was sarcastically reminding them that they had a room - at home. Before she could get away, James pulled Lily back to him and gave her loving whispers of his own. "Dead or alive, I'm the luckiest bloke, ever, because I have you and him-" James nodded toward Harry. "And yeah, Sirius, too. That's the end of my story, and I think it's a good one."
Lily was about to reply when the rest of their group crowded behind them, pushing them toward the Floo, and it was with gales of laughter that Lily, James and Harry left the Leaky that night.
