Gaius arrived during Sirius' first song, finding a free table a bit back from the stage and settling in with his customary bottle of cognac. It had been a long day at school - the children were anxious about NEWTs and the upcoming end of term - and he was glad it was over. He'd barely had time to greet Sirius before his lover had needed to leave for the pub, but it had taken him only a short time to shower, change, and make his own way there.
He watched and listened to Sirius' music - he is in a dark mood tonight, it seems - up too late with Lily and James, perhaps - while scanning the crowd for faces he knew. He smiled at Hermione and her companions, and gave Faelan a nod and a wink when he noticed the young man off to one side.
The velvet pants he wore were his favorites, along with a black silk shirt with the sleeves rolled back to expose his forearms. Nothing gaudy tonight, but he had pinned a small sprig of bluebells to his lapel, and he grinned as he wondered what Sirius' reaction would be to the tiny reminder of their recent interlude in the woods.
