"Yes, the Auror mentioned it," Padma said. She laughed. "It's going to take a little while for me to stop thinking of you as Elias, though."
Padma moved back so that she could lean against the wall and pull her legs up on the bed. She wrapped her arms around her knees.
"They said you've confessed. That you don't want a lawyer to help with your case," Padma said. After what had happened to him, she didn't really understand why he wasn't trying to defend himself. "Why? I mean, I feel like you have a true defense, with the good part and the bad part fighting each other. You were trying not to hurt people."
