Gaius stared at the Veil in fascinated horror. He knew all about Sirius and this thing, and the presence of Bellatrix Lestrange was equally as terrible, not just because of what she had done to Gaius and Regulus, but because she had been the one to kill Sirius before. Well, that wasn't going to happen again, not if he could help it. His lover and his friend would be safe, no matter what he had to do to insure that.
"Why is for later - stopping it is more important," Gaius said grimly. He was fiercely glad to feel the level of magic in the room, felt it flowing into him as though he were a dry sponge soaking up an ocean. "If it can't be destroyed, can it be blocked? Encase it in a field, or perhaps in rock?"
