There were a lot of people in the audience, and even if James was probably rolling his eyes, Regulus hadn't seemed put out, so that was good. The set was going pretty well until close to the end of Rock and Roll Suicide, when the charms that kept backup music going suddenly failed. Sirius upped the amp charms and made it through the end of the song, but then the stage light charms failed, as well. He looked around at the darkened stage, shook his head, and laughed.
"So much for opening it up to karaoke." Thinking quickly, he looked around and spotted the iron chandelier that stayed cold and unused through his shows. Carefully, he lowered that closer to the stage, so that he could barely walk underneath it, and with a showy wave and a fierce incantation, lit all the candles in it before sitting below the ring of lights with his acoustic guitar. "Lily, would you come up and give me a hand? I want a second voice, if I can't have magical drums."
They sang fairly often, now that she'd decided to remember he existed; it was one of those "safe" things to do with her. He thought they could manage a few tunes.
