Padma arrived at the Order meeting room and breathed a sigh of relief that the floo hadn't spit her out at a random location. Of course, the trip to Hogwarts from her shop was much shorter than the one to London, but there was always the possibility of something going wrong. She'd stopped allowing people to use the shop floo, not wanting to be responsible for people's mishaps, and only used it herself out of necessity.
Headmistress McGonagall and Mr Snape were talking together when Padma arrived, so she moved to a seat across the table from Mr Snape, nodding politely at them rather than interupt their conversation. She set her bag, which contained several scrolls full of research and ideas, as well as blank parchment and quill and ink, down at her feet, and waited quietly for the rest of the attendees to show up.
