"Thanks. I'll definitely be back!" Debi waved cheerily to the clerk at Glad Rags and stepped into the street. She'd just spent a lovely afternoon trying on beautiful, comfortable, flattering maternity clothes, and had spent much more than she'd intended. But how could she possibly turn down the soft, pretty fabrics, including a bias-cut silk nightgown with an expansion charm that was guaranteed to grow as she did?
Between today's haul, and what she'd picked up at the Muggle shop Marietta had recommended, she had more than enough clothing to last her for the next few months. She still needed to swing by Alchemy and Ecstasy for a tub of their stretch mark cream (not that she had any yet, but it was best to be prepared), but at least she was prepared for almost any occasion.
And after a long day of shopping for practical things, it was time for a little indulgence. Debi swung her shopping bag over her shoulder and set off for the bookstore. She wanted something to read in the bathtub, and if she was a bit peckish and craving a nice cherry scone, well, she was eating for two, wasn't she?
"Hi, Padma!" She set down her bag by the door and went straight to the counter. "Elias - how are you doing? I was just in town shopping and thought I'd drop by."
