The kiss had to end sometime, but Hermione wasn't going to waste it by talking. She pulled away with a contented little sound, and kissed his chin before replying.

"Well enough. I should be home in a week or so - and yes, tell Leila that Mummy will bring her a present or two." She'd found a beautiful stuffed Marzocco that roared and cuddled, and had spent a few nights knitting a Gryffindor scarf for it. "I'd like to give her the main present myself, but there are a few little things you can take back to give to her."

She ran her hands through his hair and began kissing her way down his nose and cheek and chin. "I'll always come home, love. Always. I promise."
