"I wasn't," he protested, tilting his head slightly to rub his hair against her cheek. "Not with you. I mean, I didn't think you were that kind of person. I was just afraid that you'd be mad at me for not telling you. That you'd think I'm just some awful liar. It's...it's kind of a big deal."
He loosened his grip, but kept his arms around her, his relief allowing him to truly enjoy the feel of her for the first time all night. He hadn't told her everything yet, not by far, but he knew that if she was okay with the biggest thing, then the rest wouldn't matter.
"I should also tell you that I'm only now learning magic for the first time. Apparently people around here thought I was a squib, but I'm not, I just didn't get to go to Hogwarts because I got bit right before." He knew he should also tell her why he had left the werewolf pack, but he decided he'd unloaded enough for one night.
