Barty stared at the woman. His first instinct was to refuse the offered cake, but then he realised that he'd been running off nothing but caffeine and sugar since his nightmare. The lack of food might have something to do with his headache, and while he could afford to feed himself, the woman was being nice, and he didn't want to turn that away.
"Thank you, that's very kind of you," he said, taking the offered plate. He smiled briefly. "I like fruit scones."
