"I am young," Padma admitted, leaning on the bar. "My brother-in-law helped me start it up, once he knew what I wanted to do."
She laughed. "And once my sister took up the cause, he couldn't resist."
Glancing around, Padma could see they were the only two in the shop, so she decided to pour herself a cup of tea as well. "I do enjoy the shop," Padma said. "It was very busy in December, what with Christmas and all, but I'm fortunate that I have an assistant. It's still long hours sometimes, but when it's quiet and all my shelving and work is done, I get to read whatever I want. That's a definite bonus."
Tilting her head, she regarded him curiously. "What about you - what do you do? And I never got your name..."
