Faelan nodded, chest going tight as he fought against all of the emotions he'd struggled so hard to keep at bay back then. He hadn't been treated particularly well before his alpha's death, but the event had been like a black cloud swallowing him whole, and when he thought about it, he could still remember the feeling of it all - of disappearing into invisible dust like the ashes of Aylward's burned life.
He couldn't go away and leave his memory behind.
Turning his head on his knees, Faelan looked up at Sirius with wide, bare eyes.
