That was sad, and Klaus pouted just a little at the idea of anyone being scared by the kind of magic that Bill could do, it was so cool, why would someone be scared of it? But Bill called him special next and that got rid of the pout entirely.
He liked that Bill thought he was special, and he liked even more that Bill promised that he didn't have to be anything except what he wanted to be, that was something he never thought he could do - his dad certainly would never have allowed it, but maybe it was enough that Bill could just accept him. "I like you, Bill." He decided, he'd have to talk to Ben later - tell him that he could just be who he wanted to be too, that he didn't have to do that stuff anymore. This place got better and better the longer they were here.
Klaus giggled when Bill made a face at the idea of lessons, and then nodded when Bill suggested he could help in the garden. "Yeah! I can help." He agreed eagerly, "I wanna see some more magic." He added too when Bill suggested they could clean up here with some magic too, that it was about more than just moving things around to make breakfast but they could use it for something like that. "You should stay." He added, because he liked Bill and he liked his magic and maybe they could have pancakes again, all of it sounded really good.
