Maybe he should've been a little taken aback by that. By the idea that someone, anyone, actually wanted to sit back and listen to him talk about Richie Tozier. He couldn't remember the last time he'd ever actually been able to do just that. Except... maybe he could. Maybe he remembered meeting Richie when he was six or seven and telling his mom about his new friend at a mile per minute. Maybe he remembered the way she'd frowned. The way she'd immediately disliked his new and only friend. Richie was too loud, too rough. He didn't treat Eddie like he was made of glass. Her disapproval just made Eddie like him more. Maybe he'd always given in to his mother's demands on everything else about his life but the one, and only, thing he'd never budged on was Richie. "Careful, I might think you're serious and actually take you up on that offer." He teased.
Introducing her to his normal might not be so bad. There was a chance that Richie himself would be hanging around whenever they got together next. Talking about Richie in front of Richie was always fun. She'd probably, at least, get a laugh out of it. Maybe. As long as he didn't toss this whole friendship out the window by bailing on her at the first sign of danger.
"Well... at least it's not a closet." He said, more to himself than her. Wherever that place was it was... pink. Very pink. It wasn't bad. Kind of comforting in a way. Certainly nice to look at. Though, by now, he was a little reluctant to take pleasant things behind doors at face value. That Pomeranian had been cute too. It'd even sat when Richie told it too. It hadn't stayed cute. He wondered what the chances of this place staying peaceful and comforting were.
The next door she opened was... busier. Louder but in a comforting sort of way. He'd grown used to noise in New York. Now silence sort of creeped him out. Moving away from the door with the nice, pink field he moved towards the new one she'd opened and just peered through it. "It seems kind of a waste not to." He said after a moment's worth of thought. Yeah, he was screaming at himself internally about that one. Who knew what they'd find? He'd already died once and he was a little tired of self pity. He could find out if just how brave he was by doing something stupid with a person he hardly knew and then, once he survived, go back to dwelling on his death. That seemed fair.
