It was strange, hearing Eddie tell her about where he'd come from, that point before they had won, it was very similar to the same place that Natasha was from in her own journey. Her friends had gone on and finished the job, she was told about it later in much the same way. And well, she got the feeling their lives had ended in a similar sort of way. "It's a good weapon." Natasha agreed when he showed off his piece of fencing, had he said it differently, had he been someone else she might just have rolled her eyes at that kind of sentiment, but hearing it from Eddie and his belief in the power of it - well Natasha couldn't do anything to take that away from him. "Sometimes that's the most important thing, belief in a thing." It was certainly all the had going for them when it came to getting the stones. "I've worked with less and it never goes well."
It turned out talking to people here was a bit of a treacherous sort of thing. Natasha had never been good about talking about the real things, the parts of herself that were true. And it was even more difficult when it came to strangers. And add her death to it all? And Natasha wasn't certain what they had to talk about at all if not more of Eddie's life. And Richie. Which was nice actually, hearing about normal things like that. It had been so long since Natasha had met anyone who could talk like that. About normal life, she'd almost forgotten it was a thing that happened, that people could have things like that.
"We'll have to make some time later," She said with a small laugh, she wanted to hear more about Eddie's life, it was like a balm in a lot of ways. To have someone who could talk like that. And she appreciated it more than she realized she might have before he'd just gone and done it. But they had a house to deal with for now and she wanted to see for herself what it was all about.
So together they made their way up the path to the house and from the outside it didn't look too different to most of the houses in town, the biggest difference was though once they went in was that it was clear it was just full of different doors. And from what Tony said none of them had any set destinations they were always a bit of a toss up. "Do you think we should try one?" She asked Eddie, it didn't look too scary just yet, just a house with a lot of doors. "Tony said some of them go through the doors often to bring back supplies and things." So how bad could it be really?
