Of course Claire had thought about the fact this place might not be forever. People came and went, vanished without a trace not knowing if they went back to where they came from or what. So not starting something here would be smart, because if there was nothing to lose there would be nothing to hurt about later. But that was life, getting hurt, putting yourself out there and hoping for the best. It wasn't like she'd gone after Peter, or this thing, it just had been. They'd evolved and they could go right on ignoring it but her head might explode if they kept it up too much longer.
She laughed and she let her lips drag along his jaw. "Yes please, maybe front row, close enough to really enjoy it," Claire explained before she kissed him again. Because they'd started and his hands were on her skin and kissing him was really nice.
It was a relief to hear him say it, even if she'd known it. Claire didn't want to wake up to who knows who in her house, it wasn't like that and Peter seemed to innately know that. They were once again on the same page. "I like you too much for that," she said quietly. Just because she also liked John didn't mean she'd like everyone. This had gone past where it could just be something casual.
"What would you like to give me then?" Claire asked with a laugh.
