She didn't know what she'd been expecting, maybe something warm and comfortable like how being with him felt, like they'd always just been. But it wasn't. It felt like a bang of electricity when they came together, mouths made of sparks and his hand gentle but causing goosebumps to break out on her skin. Sure it was comfortable, but that kind of did a disservice to really explaining it. The little hairs on the back of her neck stood up as they slowly parted, Claire brushing her lips against his even as he spoke just to keep contact.
"Maybe not to anyone else," she replied as she finally pulled back enough to open her eyes and see him without going crosseyed. "But I know how you look at someone you want," Claire reminded him as she toyed with the collar of his t-shirt. "And you do have excellent taste."
Claire kissed him again, shifting her leg so she could turn to straddle him and the chair, both arms resting around his neck. "You've got to promise to be honest with me, you know? We can talk about anything," she told him softly.
