"You're right, it's a terrible burden, all this responsibility." He agreed with a low huff, the familiar word had always hung heavy on his shoulders ever since he'd lost Ben but it was something that didn't weigh him down quite so much these days - enough so that he could joke about it without feeling that pressure on his chest that made him want to play like he'd never even heard the name Spider-Man.
But for now there were more interesting things happening, like Claire moving from where she'd sat and making herself at home in his lap. And Peter had absolutely no complaints about that. He sat back just enough for her to settle and wrapped an arm around her waist easily, only too happy to have her there.
"Yes, not that sad drunken strip poker wasn't fun." He huffed softly, because well - it had been and he'd gotten kissed several times that night, but a night where none of them were drinking to stop thinking of someone else? That had to be a better night. "Could be nice to try it again, you know. Maybe." This was the problem with being as comfortable with Claire as he was, he'd brought her home one night and then that had kind of been it, she had stayed and then like this place knew what they needed they'd gotten more space for her and well the idea of her moving out had never really come up. And now here they were.
