He shook his hand and Steve smiled, that was a good start, well a better start than being blood splattered. The man's teeth were red tinged and he could use a cup of something, that was for sure.
"You look like you could use a hot shower, maybe some dinner," Steve let his hand go, settling with his hands on his hips. He didn't feel like there was much to worry about with this man and if there was, well Steve would prefer he was with him than anywhere else.
In a place like this there wasn't really a getting to know you period, they were all just neighbours, in the same boat and Steve tried to make settling in not totally awful. "Come on, it's just this way," Steve said as he nodded toward the houses. "What's your name?"
