Valkyrie sat on the same wall, turned to him, not quite Lotus there. Her hands settled on her thighs, palms down, and her sword settled nicely on her back. She seemed comfortable there. Now and then her knees would bounce, either stretching a bit or just working off nervous energy. She watched Klaus for a moment before answering.
"I was too busy, I suppose, to notice. Not until Ben said something." She shrugged slightly; it was hard to notice quiet when one was too busy to notice much of anything. She sighed softly, leaning forward to catch her chin in lifted hands. Her elbows rested on her legs as she continued to watch him.
"Perhaps the recent loss was too great. Or perhaps it simply is. There are often quiet times in places, and it can feel even more so in a place that is not highly populated," she looked around. "Any sort of change in population and activity will always be felt in a place like this." She poked at some of the wall between them.
"What do you think of it?" Her eyes narrowed as she thought about the quiet she hadn't noticed before.
