It wasn't often (especially recently) that Bucky went out anywhere without Clint. They'd both kind of been pretty nervous about being away from each other after the latest disappearance of several people in town. But, they'd kind of relaxed about it a little bit in that they weren't quite feeling so desperate and worried on a constant basis. The fear was still there; that was probably not ever going to go away, just maybe not be so much in the forefront of their minds. Bucky felt more like he could get back to functioning without being constantly paranoid. He imagined that feeling would flare up again in the future. It was only natural given the circumstances they were all in. But now that the immediate impending doom type of feeling had calmed itself a little, Bucky was relaxed enough that he could not be attached to Clint's hip every second of the day. Not that there was ever a measure of time together that would be too much, but he could do what he needed to do and Clint could do what he needed to do and they could meet up when they wanted, and go home together. Things were steadily getting back to 'normal' (as normal as Starklandia could be).
That afternoon, Bucky had been dealing with a very tantrum-centric goat who hadn't shut up for the better part of an hour. Bucky assumed he was hungry even though he had plenty to eat. Finally after exhausting all other options, he threw his hands up and let Tony out of the gated pen they'd built outside of the house and let him lead the way where he wanted to go, after putting on the Stark-made goat sunglasses Tony had fashioned for his goat counterpart. He'd have to apologize to the citizens of Starklandia later since Tony the goat hadn't stopped bleating and screaming the entire time they were out. Screaming in the courtyard, by the pond, passing other houses, all the way until they reached Pancho's.
"For fu-- Really? All that screaming because you wanted to go to the bar?" Bucky knew exactly why. They'd given him pizza crust before because he wouldn't shut up and now he had a taste for it. As soon as Tony started yelling again Bucky waved his hand. "Alright, alright, just, stop yelling and don't get us kicked out." He wasn't terribly worried about there being a no animals policy since Carol used to have that cat demon thing roaming around.
Not long after they'd entered Bucky ordered a plain pizza crust for Tony and an actual pizza for himself. Sure, it was totally normal to be sitting at a table in a bar eating pizza with his goat. At least the screaming had stopped.
