Alright, Quill was right, and John was pretty much just an asshole. It was second nature and what he knew best. Though he would argue in his defense that he was this way because... people were stupid and it was his coping mechanism. Or some bullshit.

Ultimately he just hated most people. Not Quill, but most others.

His approach was innocent, even possibly to apologize, but instead of being greeted with coy banter John was greeted with having his legs kicked out from under him and John found himself on his back staring at the sky. Laying there not moving, John considered a number of things. Then there was a soft chuckle. "Kay. That's fair."
