This wasn't at all what Quill had been expecting when he left his house - not even a little bit. "Oh, you're new," he blurted at the exact same time as she started talking and that was ridiculous so he shut up until he'd introduced herself.
Very weirdly.
His first thought was that maybe she was that Princess that had introduced herself the other day but he was almost positive that her name hadn't been Jenny. His second thought was that she was flirting with him and while he might have gone for that sort of thing in the past, now he just felt sort of awkward about it.
Jenny was very distinctly not Green, and therefore simply no good at all to Peter Quill -- whose sexuality these days transcended things like terran genders, but hardly mattered if there was only one person out there that mattered to him. But there was no point in not being a nice neighbor, right? "John probably shoulda warned you how delectable I am," he said with a lopsided sort of smile. "Otherwise he's skipping details and that's rude. I'm Quill, and -- do you need a jacket or something?" He awkwardly patted at the top of her hand because she was offering it weird.
