WHO: Leia & Nyx
WHAT: She drinks, maybe she talks. She is sad.
WHERE: Pancho's bar ..place thing.
WHEN: Evening, sometime?
It wasn't a matter of contention, or even confusion. After her encounter visiting Galen, where he’d challenged her to live she'd simply avoided confronting it any further. Because it was as she had told him. He was wrong, he didn’t understand what she needed here, what living her life here really meant. Friends, people she cared for - were enough. This place would never be permanent, and it was wise to treat it so. Which, to the Princess, meant as he had said - and she refused to explore in his company, keeping a certain level of distance.
And in that time since, something terrible had happened. So many who'd settled here, made lives, connections and something meaningful for themselves had simply disappeared - almost as if they were never there - Luke's clothing, along with the gifts he'd received were still here; the poncho from Beru, the Jedi robes from his future. Outwardly Leia had been productive, putting his things away, there was a spare room in her home now, if it came about it was needed, she would offer it. Inwardly she'd been devastated - life wasn't so much different back home, war threatened to take loved ones at any moment, it was hardly so different than her daily fears there, that each mission would be his last. But, maybe it was harder to accept here, it seemed crueler here? They'd be torn to this world and made to accept it, Luke had been a bright light where she struggled to settle, their relationship as siblings had grown without the threats of war. So she’d failed, at viewing her brother as a temporary addition to their world, had failed.
Ben Kenobi had been a privilege to meet, and to be mentored by. Leia hadn’t expected to take to what he had to teach, to find that she wanted to connect with something inherited from her biological father, but she would miss him and his guidance now he was gone.
Seeking anyone out would only show that she missed the company in her home (which she did terribly, it was now too dark, and too quiet) and so Leia decided to head to Pancho’s uncertain who’d be there, but willing to perhaps simply get talking, be distracted by anyone - something she failed at spectacularly, given it was rather empty to begin with, and she took a seat by herself. Well, it was still better than being in that empty home.
