With Lunafreya now here. Yes, everything. There was a nod. "Though I am quite accepting of my fate." Nyx shrugged casually. There wasn't much more than that.
"Everyone has a destiny, regardless if they believe in it or not." Nyx commented as he thought on it for a moment. "Not saying you can't work to change which direction to go, but there is only certain points in which you can alter where your path may fall." For him specifically, there was that moment where he stopped the princess from putting the ring on. He could have allowed her, and his journey would have changed greatly compared to him putting the ring on. Of course, he wanted to tell the kings a thing or two. They were obviously unamused. Bringing his attention to Leia, she sounded amused to the notion of a princess with a critical mission. Nyx opted to not speak on it, but was guessing that Leia shared that in common with Lunafreya. A mission of critical importance.
"Life is just a vague outline and understanding of what is to come." Nyx commented with a smirk. "Such as among the possibilities of things to come, for example, is where you get to go back to where you come from or stay here or who says if you leave here it sends you back where it took you. Maybe it drops you in some other part of your timeline. It could send you thirty years into the future." Nyx paused. "Or past." He laughed lightly. "Same with me. It could send me back. I'm living now, but the kings of old who I made my deal with, they could feel my life back on Eos, and torch me all over again. Or not." He sighed. "I would honestly be pleased to go back, and help my young king, but his journey is also his own and who says my presence brings anything useful. Maybe my path bringing me here, has set him up on his path later on." So many what-ifs and what-nots.
"When you're one of the people providing the stock, you get to drink the stock at your own leisure." Nyx commented with a boyish grin challenging the norm.
Then her comment about it being different for him, was valid. She was deflecting to avoid her own issues. Nyx could see it a mile away. "You're wrong. On two accounts." He held one finger up. "I rather be alive and fighting for my king. If I had been alive, the princess would possibly still be living. I then could spend my life protecting the royal family and doing everything in my power to help achieve their goals. I am just accepting of my fate and where I have landed." Then he raised his second finger. "Your weak deflecting is bad at best. Just because you want to avoid your own issues, doesn't give you the right to use me as your ploy. If you want to unshovel my baggage, then ladies first." There was a slightly tipped smirk on his lips.
