I disagree, Leia." Nyx shook his head. "The moment you stop investing into your feelings, even if they become lost, you're no better off than the dead." With a sigh he thought about his words. "Even with all the loss I've had close to me, I still believe I need to make that effort. The people we keep around us. The people we decide to love. The people we befriend. Those are the people help form us as individuals." His tone was thoughtful. "We will always lose people, there is no changing that. You can not stop death. Death will come for us in good time.." Nyx trailed off thinking about how he should be dead. "Side from that, people will come and go, some will move on and some will just fall behind." Another reality.
Nyx looked to Leia. "I suppose the only thing we are in charge of, is ourselves." Nyx smiled. "We can either stand still while everyone and thing passes on by, or we can take in our own hands and do what we can with what we have." There was a shrug. "You see, I threw my life down on the line for my princess. Lunafreya. I would do it again, in an instant. He destiny and what had to be fulfilled was bigger than me or her." Nyx leaned on the bar some. "If she let the decision weigh her down, she might not have been able to do what she had to do and deliver the essential part to save the world." Nyx shrugged. "We can't fix the past, but we can let it form us. Living in the now is all we can.. do.." He muttered as if coming to his own realization of some situations.
With a smile, Nyx nodded. "This place is the strangest. It has the ability to bring people in and out of time, at any given moment or universe." Thoughtfully Nyx thought for a moment. "Think about it, we had three different Peter Parkers. We loss one Natasha and got a different one. Granted that one left us too, but they were different people." Nyx pointed to her. "You in this place, might be exactly the path your timeline takes you. That's the truly screwed up thing about this whole pocket universe with multiple universes. You being here, might be exactly where you're supposed to be." Nyx shrugged. "It's all very strange."
Then the royal eyeroll was caught. "Oi." He pointed. "Eyerolling the bartender sage advice. Drink." Nyx commented pouring more into her glass with a smile on his lips. "Though what do I suggest?" He shrugged pouring more tequila in his glass. "This is a good start to living that best life we can." Nyx held his glass up to her.
