Gwen was really glad that she'd opened herself up to friendships in this place. She'd been such a recluse back home, swearing off connections and relationships entirely in order to keep anyone she cared about from getting hurt. There was no imminent danger here -- other than the disappearances, which could've really been reason enough for her to keep to herself. But there were just too many incredible people here who she'd grown to love and care about, and there were more she wanted to get to know. She couldn't imagine being here now without being best friends with Sirius, or having Tony, Steve, and Alpha Peter as family.
"Yup. Okay. So kinda get your balance on it with both feet, like this." She stood on it so she was kinda sideways but still facing forward. "And then you take one foot off and use it to push yourself forward." She did that too, and costed a little ways forward. Gwen was pretty confident that Sirius was going to get that part pretty quick. Then they could scoot around town and maybe find a place to jump with it. "C'mon!" She waved at him, then pushed off to go forward again.
Yes. Carefree fun. Fun that involved her best friend. That was exactly what she needed. The only thing missing was the sounds of the city and that NYC smell that just kinda.. hung in the air. But maybe this was better. Maybe definitely.
