Could Nyx's heart not break with the way she clung to him. Her insane emotion for him was overly obvious, and it pulled on the strings in his chest - tightening around his entire chest cavity making it difficult to breath. Everything he did was for the greater good. Yes, obviously there was some selfish notion in that, such as making sure Lunafreya was safe and away from harms way. Besides, Nyx was the hero, and he had the heroes death he deserved.
Burning away. Watching the sunrise. Alone.
"No." Nyx told her while he kept her tears at bay. "You would have left, because I can't be the man I needed to be worrying about you." Which was true. The destruction of the city was also partially due to him and the old wall. "You would have followed my directions..." No she wouldn't have. "And you would have been escorted out." There was a smirk. "Though, you would of fought me on it." Nyx teased with a knowing smile to the time she jumped from the airship. "But I need you to not apologize." Nyx told her. "Apologizing for something, out of your control, and for a decision I made." His head dipped some so his blues were locked with hers. "I would make that decision again., in a heartbeat." There was a sly grin on his lips.
"It's what heroes do, right?" With that, he released her, now realizing she was only wearing one of his larger t-shirts. Well, now this was uncomfortable. Keeping the crimson tinge from his cheeks, Nyx spun her around. "But for now, you are not only likely physically exhausted, but menetally." He ushered her towards the bed. "You need to try and rest, and know.." He pointed to the couch that was in that single room apartment. "I will be right there." Stepping away from her, his body immediately cold missing her warmth. "Tomorrow, we will continue, and get you some clothes suited for a person your size." Not to say he really didn't enjoy her alone in his clothes.
