Gamora had a little bit of history about maybe charging into things not quite prepared. Like with Thanos, they never should have tried to take him on, she should simply have done the right thing and spared the universe so much suffering. But it was easy not to think of that, instead to thrust a dagger into the heart of something seeking to enslave others. Gamora didn't need looking after, not from some Asgardian, she was a Guardian all of her own thank you.
Thor was a show of light and noise and Gamora was neither as she moved through them, leaving her own path of those who probably wished they'd stayed home behind her. Perhaps it should have been more climactic, but Gamora took the leader's head off bringing her two daggers together. It rolled and so did a silence before a battle cry went up from the people of the planet.
