Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:galen marek (sw), leia organa

Who: Galen Marek and Leia Organa.
What: A friendly visit?
Where: Galen's place.
When: Monday evening.
Rating: Lets put this in the middle, PG:13. Leia is mean. :(

Starkiller had acquired furniture now at this point. With a bit of help from Barbara, who was a miracle worker on that front. They managed to get him everything he might have needed. She said if they go through the right door and find a place called Ikea, they'd be set. A couple days of trying and success. So many boxes, and so much furniture. So now Galen was sitting on a furniture and he had place settings and dishes and everything. It was legit a house. It was more house than he ever knew, to be honest.

So, he was sitting with Lucario who was content on doing his own thing.

It was lonely at times. Since starting to associate with people, he found himself wanting to be near them more and more. That was unsettling on it's own. Standing he paces for a minute catching the attention of his Pokemon. "What?" His question was met with a bark. "I know!" He could just go see Leia. He was concerned about her, but she was obviously fine and not really wanting them around. Then there was a honk at him. A growl came from Starkiller as he looked down at the pink bird that he couldn't get rid of. It showed up yesterday, and he couldn't kill the damn thing. Despite his best efforts. "Shut up, you." He rolled his eyes. Then he felt it.

Leia.

His eyes turned toward the door, and just like that there was a knock. HONK HONK Galen looked at the bird. "I hate you." Starkiller approached the door and pulled it open. "Leia." Honk Galen looked at the bird and back to Leia. "I now have a bird that is unkillable." He said with a droll look, while looking towards her shoulder. "How.." Galen looked Leia in the eyes, obviously concerned for her well being. "How are you?"

Despite there being an indestructible Flamingo in her presence, Leia’s attention was taken up for a moment by the change in Galen’s home as she stepped through the doorway - it was certainly different from the last time she’d come by - it was whole, and carefully furnished, she was pleased for him, what it meant for him and his time here.

The pink feathered bird however, eventually proved itself impossible to ignore - Leia nearly went to shout as Galen caused it to hit the wall, but without seemingly any pain or consequence, the once crumpled heap reformed as if nothing had happened, and stared with it’s vacant bird eyes, honking.

Leia was laughing again, whilst trying to at least look apologetic, eyes alight with amusement. So far, this visit had already done wonders for her mood. “This place is creative in it’s-” What to call them? “Punishments, if nothing else..”Starklandia could also be cruel, and unpleasant, so as far as unpleasant gifts went, it could be worse. The Princess was given a chance to look through his home, a tour of sorts; sight of the rebel flag, as always caught her gaze for just a little longer. By all appearances she was impressed. “Your home looks wonderful, Galen.” Smile still present as she took it all in, warmth in her honesty. “You’re happy with it?” There was a difference between living somewhere, and it actually feeling a home.

At the Pokemon’s greeting Leia crouched to his height, bringing a hand up to give him a gentle scratch under the chin, he seemed to enjoy it. “Hello Lucario- do you like how your home looks now too?” She asked him, before straightening up

Galen made an effort to be hospitable, and Leia wasn’t about to tease his stumble, gracious in her reply, as he seemed a little flustered. “Yes, thank you.” Letting him decide what to drink, if he wanted. “I’m sorry for not contacting you first-” She voiced, even though she didn’t really doubt she’d be welcome, even so it was always polite to check in. “I just- felt a little cooped up.” Yes, she was fortunate her brother was there to help, but she still found her current limitations a little stifling and she was going to do all that she was capable of at the moment.

Starkiller smiled just the faintest of smiles when it came to Leia's laugh. It was something he wished he heard more often. Despite the fact the laugh was at his misery of the bright pink bird. He suppose there was always something minor and positive to every bad thing.

"I wouldn't say creative." Galen admitted. "This is.." He looked at the bird as it stared back at him. They just stared at each other, and then it honked at him and walked off. "Ridiculous." He shook his head at the bird. The tour was brief, considering he had a small house to begin with. He figured he didn't need anything more than what there was for space, and now that it was furnished it left Galen really not wanting anything larger. "It's alright, I suppose." He responded. "Its more than I had ever owned." Ever.

Lucario though, was happy that Leia was around. The fighting Pokemon was fond of two others other than him. Both females in his life, Leia and Babs. But the thing he appreciated most was the way they treated the Pokemon. Such tender care, compared to his tougher love. Which Starkiller did. He loved the creature, but he wasn't about to coddle the POkemon. With a bark Lucario was off from Leia just as it would go about it's normal things it did.

Starkiller went to the fridge he had and stared at the items he had. The items in the fridge were wide choices, then he glanced to her, and the sling. The poor woman likely had been just miserable. He shrugged and grabbed a couple of the beers he had. She deserved something cold, fresh, and alcoholic. With the a couple pops they were opened and he handed one off to her. "You're welcome anytime." Galen stated as he glanced at her shoulder some. "Is it healing okay? Is there anything I can go out and find for you?"

Leia smiled, watching Lucario scamper away and she took the beer he offered, thanking him as she took a sip. Internally she was musing on other matters. But, she supposed she’d simply let their conversation simply flow however it would, naturally - even if there was something causing a knot in her stomach.

“Really, it’s alright. It’ll take some weeks still-” Leia insisted, there were days she’d grown tired of being fussed over, and worried about. She was learning to accept it. “The worst of it now is just trying to find a way to sleep comfortably.” She tried to dismiss it in that way, trying hard to make it seem as little as a minor inconvenience now. The pain was still there, but lesser and she tended not to need pain killers quite as often; hence she didn’t refuse the alcoholic drink as he’d offered it. She’d been told not to drink while taking these particularly drugs. “I’ve made a note of all the medical supplies I’ve required and I plan to replenish them as soon as I’m able to, perhaps you could help me with that?” She’d never had to raid medical supplies in her time at Starklandia, and it wouldn’t be easy, nor would it feel the right thing to do entirely; but they might be needed in the future, and she’d hate to be the reason for someone else’s suffering here, if there wasn’t medicine enough to treat them. Part of Leia was hesitant to extend the invite to Galen ..and what might happen if they got into any kind of trouble. But he was eager to help, and she wanted to let him.

She took a long breath in, and sighed it out, before taking a drink from the beer. “Point being- it could’ve been a great deal worse than just a broken bone.” Her tone was one to be taken seriously, voice low, her gaze not leaving him. She had been entirely defenseless, and injured and had Galen not arrived in time, she’d not have had a lot of options to keep herself alive. “I’m not sure I properly thanked you- for what you did.” It had been gorey, in an aspect. It had in some ways struck her as needlessly violent which despite all she’d seen, still had affected her. But, what he had done; had purpose and it had achieved what they had stayed behind in Las Vegas to do. "There’s every chance I could have ended up dead- along with the rest of those humans we came across if it hadn't been for you." She wasn’t speaking awkwardly, or in uncertain tones. She’d dealt with so many situations - and though her temper, at times got the better of her - in retrospect she could often offer something better thought through; here she was genuine. "So, thank you."

Finding a spot, Galen found himself a place to sit before using the Force to extend out the a chair for her to seat herself. No reason to be standing if they didn't have to be.

"Well, you get me the list I can go anytime, or when you're up for it we can go." Starkiller frowned some. "Or after you're healed." Maybe he would just go? He could just get a bunch of supplies to help refill their stores so that Leia didn't have to worry about it. Though there was a distinct notion that would upset the woman. Something about wanting to be useful, or taking care of it on her own? Starkiller could have a notion of understanding to that. "Regardless, we'll make sure it's replaced whenever you are ready." Galen promised lightly.

The few undertones were heard by Galen. Naturally, Leia was grateful to be living and having lives saved in actions, but she saw the brutality that was Starkiller. He frowned some listening to her words while his eyes left her features while he reflected on the decisions that were made. Starkiller was a combatant. There was solid joy when it came to fighting, and he reveled in it. Completely. Vegas, against Siri... he even wanted to fight Luke. Not to kill him, but for the sheer delight in combat. "No Leia." Galen commented. "You need not thank me." He shook his head looking to her. "I understand you have feelings on my actions." Yes, appreciative but concerned. "It is who I am." He told her, because that was the truth. "I would make every decision the same again." Galen told her. "I hope you can accept me as this way." He told her. "Because Leia," His hand reached out and gripped the one that held her beer. "I would come slay an army to keep you safe." He promised. Realizing what he was doing, he pulled his hand away quickly flushing a different shade of red, taking a drink from his own beer.

“I’d prefer to go too” She nodded thoughtfully. “So, it’ll be some time before that happens. Let it heal. Ben has said he'd like to increase my training- then we'll go?” But he’d seemed to understand the point she was making, and how vital it could be to others. Not that disastrous events occurred too regularly, or hopefully nothing requiring heavy duty medication - even so nothing could be predicted about this place.

When he reached out, her grip on her drink tensed, and a feeling wrenched her stomach a little. It wasn't the first time he’d expressed a similar sentiment involving killing. It seemed to be what he felt a very significant way he had to express himself, or whatever it was he felt. There was no ignoring the fact he'd seemed embarrassed, flushed for what he’d said and Leia still didn’t know exactly how to manage it - but something intrigued her more, how in one breath he could confess his actions where who he was, and then behave in a way so entirely human.

Leia set her drink on the nearest surface, hand left resting in her lap, her body language certainly not fearful; but she seemed reserved, a little distance for the more willing hints of affection he’d shown.

She didn’t fear for herself, or even for others, she wasn’t afraid of him and she never had been, it wasn’t that. Galen merely knew little, if nothing else and that wouldn’t change rapidly Leia didn’t want him to accept it entirely, that it was simply who he was. Had Leia been able to stand her ground in Las Vegas, she knows deep down there would have been some thrill in the purpose of it, that she didn’t find in the aimless Starklandia. That ..was part of who she was in a way, what she’d had to be. But it wasn’t all she could be.

“I’m glad you were there ” Not quite repeating herself, but affirming what she meant, Leia had imagined were she found by Luke, or by Obi-Wan - they would have similarly used their Lightsabers to cut down those creatures in haste; allow the humans to get to safety, ensure she was out of trouble when she was vulnerable and completely unable to defend herself. Would it have been very different? They’d still have been dead, but with his bloody-minded form of creativity? Leia doubted so.

“But it wasn’t just a matter of protection, was it?” To more or less rescue her, that had been a good decision, not of destruction. Other choices he'd made, were darker, ruthless and she wondered. "Why do you say that's who you are?" She didn't sound troubled, or look it. If anything there was a calmness about her, a gentler manner, eyes doe-like even if the last thing she was, was naive. Leia knew what horror he'd been raised - but more and more, she saw that he reached out to others, that he wanted more for himself.

That was something Galen was able to handle. Simply escorting Leia to find the used supplies, and frankly he was able to use some of his tricks to help her get what was needed.

Though, what was the problem was how she tensed. He didn't need the Force to recognize it. Though it was even more obvious using the Force. The way she tensed and kept herself at a distance, well that threw Galen off all on it's own. Uncomfortable was just the beginning actually. It lead straight into annoyance, and then into anger. One thing Kenobi had been right on, was how fluid emotions were so Starkiller steeled his mind to bring himself back to reality.

It was simple, to the young man. Leia didn't care for him in the same manner. Fine. He'd have to accept that, because why chase it.

Just in those quick moments, Starkiller rebounded back and steeled himself from Leia. "Don't try to read me." He countered coldly. It was becoming very clear, very quickly that she wasn't going to accept him for his love of combat. It was drilled into him for a decade, or so. It was what he knew, it was what he loved. Sure in most cases it lead to death, but that wasn't the part he loved. His fight with Siri, it was thrilling and exactly as he needed. There was no desire to kill the Jedi at the end, just boast his victory. "You spend to much time trying to change who I am, Leia." With that he stood, with no desire to finish his drink. Casually he tipped the bottle to pour the liquid down a drain.

"The way you question me, isn't curiosity of who I am." Starkiller shook his head. "You know why it is who I am, so just come out and say it." Galen glared over to Leia pointedly. "Say it. Say why I am the way I am. Acknowledge it." He ordered. "Because I've accepted it, but if you can't acknowledge and accept it." His head nudged towards the door. "You can leave."

“This -isn’t about anyone trying to change you.” Leia was quick to shoot back fiercely, she’d left her chair too, already - defensive for having been caught off guard by his outburst, unexpected but not enough to startle her. There wasn’t quite pure anger behind her voice, but she felt the need to stand up for herself all the same. “The choices you’ve made here- they’re your own because I know they were something you wanted, something you’ve let in. Deny it all you like. I’ve seen it.” Leia didn’t believe she’d pushed anything, encouraged perhaps, but he had grown in his own way, a sort of flourishing here.

Leia persisted, even if he didn’t want to hear it, not fearing moving over to where he was. “You have friends here, and you’ve made this space yours-” Nothing to do with her. He might’ve had help, but he cared enough to make it comfortable, for himself - and she imagined for the friends he’d allow into this space, he must see how monumental that was? How much progress he’d made, and she was pleased for it. “You’ve embraced who you were, before Vader-” She motioned to his bedroom, as far as she had seen it, his family crest kept in a more private room, but close to him. He’d reacted in anger - but he didn’t abandon the difficult truth. He'd wanted to be called Galen.

Yet she had to accept how much the Empire’s actions, her own biological father’s actions had changed her; she let those things drive her in war. “What I won’t accept is your antagonizing people- starting conflict; telling me now that’s just who you are?” She shook her head, her tone had reached a calmer place now, not scolding or blaming - it was upsetting to hear him say these things. Her manner wasn’t aggression, to trying to harass him - but it was an appeal, care in her tone.

“Not when I’ve seen how different you can be." He made choices, he treated her well, no one had to like every person in Starklandia, but goading them- wasn't the greatest way of relating to others. “You told me not to hold on to anger on your behalf for all he did to you.” Her breath was let out in frustration, it wasn’t as though she needed more fuel to despise Vader - at least the Rebellion was an outlet, she had little else here.

She leaned back on one of the counters in the kitchen, and she wasn’t looking at him now, she gaze a little distant. But she didn’t think he’d appreciate her being any closer.

“But I always will- for everything he did. He took so much from the galaxy. From us both.” He’d taken their families from them; at least Leia had nineteen years. As far as she was concerned, it meant nothing would be in vain. Though, it was different here, left unable to channel it, except in smaller ways. “I just- want you to see you’re worth more than just what he taught you, how he treated you.” It would take time, he was slowly understanding he was more than just a weapon, wasn’t he?

She was correct. Leia hit it on the head, his actions were his, and he did them because it was who he was. Just things he felt like doing. No, he didn't want to murder anyone or anything like that. That wasn't a desire he felt, but those he didn't like - Luke, he goaded because that was what he wanted. Especially with Jedi. Getting reactions from those who were to be in control, well it was something of a specialty. Luke wasn't terribly easy to get to act, compared to Siri. Though the good he did, mostly was just going with the motions, and the people he let in, well they were stubborn. Barbara.

"The space was made because someone decided I couldn't live as a hermit." Starkiller countered roughly. Though that banner. His father's crest. That was special to him. Only thing that tied to his life that could have been if he was never taken by Vader. "No." He glared. "I am not the child I was before I was taken." He firmly stated. "I was in the care of that man for a decade. Trained. Formed. Molded." Shaking his head Galen continued. "As much as I am turning my back on my old master, it is still his training that is what made me who I am." Starkiller accepted this whole heartedly, even as he was attempting to learn new lessons and grow differently as a man. "Nothing will change that."

"Antagonizing people or not, what's the difference?" Starkiller looked to Leia as if it was a simple equation. "If a person is so weak minded or willed to react to conflict, what difference does it make." Waving his hand at the outer wall. "Those people, who cares." Which was fact. Majority of this town, there was little desire to know them. Especially if people he made effort to know, like Miles, were just going to vanish. Crossing his arms at Leia his eyes remained trained on her.

The difference in him? Was he all that different from his day arriving in this strange town?

"You're too angry." Galen abruptly said. That was her problem. "And that's coming from a Sith." Yes, he still considered himself a Sith even after all this time. He supposed where Luke was deriving a new Jedi Order, he was attempting to do the same with the Sith now. Or something. He didn't even know any more. "Harboring all that anger leads to nowhere good." Galen left that Jedi tip on the table. "I am fueled by anger, and emotion. That's the Sith way, but it isn't necessarily always the right way." Just like that, Galen realized one of his lesson he was being taught. Light bulb clicking on in his head. Meditation fuel for later.

"Point being." He pointed to her. "You can't change what has happened. You can't. What you can do is look forward and work to change what you can." His finger turned and pointed to where she gestured toward regarding the banner. "Such as you did." As he was doing, despite doing it in order of his old master. "We are creatures of our past, good or bad." And he was bad. That was the reality. Possibly just not as bad as he was.

She certainly wasn’t yelling, and though the pair of them were prepared to stand their ground - Leia ..didn’t quite feel this was building into a negative experience. Despite generally being withholding about her own feelings, or thoughts in this strange world; she wanted to encourage Galen to speak on what he was thinking, what he felt here. It simply wasn’t his fault he had so much to learn, and understand.

“His care?” Leia’s expression was disturbed, but not really surprised. Perhaps it was merely a turn of phrase for him, a throw-away line. “He raised you, but that wasn’t care.” Her gentler tone wasn’t pity, as far as she was concerned, pitying him was the last thing Galen would want, more it was just- thinking there was any semblance of care about Vader’s abusive method was liable to make her stomach turn. But he knew nothing else, and that was the worst of it. “Caring for a child- requires love, and kindness and nurturing, alongside things like discipline and purpose.” The last two, he’d perhaps experienced, but not everything he should. She wanted to reach out, but thought the better of it, distracting herself by idly massaging at her left shoulder joint.

“You can’t turn your back on what’s past. The good or the bad of it, you’re right about that. There’s something to be gained from everything we experience.” She admitted. Similarly that would mean turning her back on things such as Alderaan. Would she be so relentless in defeating Vader if not for her planet’s demise?

Leia watched him in silence as he spoke through his own thought process; what did it matter if he had no care to know the town as a whole - she barely knew them either, and she didn’t find herself with a great desire to mingle, or know the community, that she understood too. She’d never force him into talking to anyone, or make him think such when she wouldn’t want to herself.

“We all have our own ways-” Leia said, not wanting to spark any arguments of what she should or shouldn’t be feeling, her gaze was low, as if she was inspecting the floor below. “But we all need something to keep us going, keep fighting when it seems hopeless.” Indeed, sometimes, it was hope, a purer sounding thing, something she did truly believe in and something she would try her hardest to instill in anyone who was brave enough to join the Rebellion’s cause, but sometimes it was anger, alongside hope, and human connections and a will to bring peace after war, it was a darker wish to see the Empire in pieces at any cost. Ferocity had aided Leia in wherever she found the strength to tighten that chain around Jabba’s neck until he’d died.

The Rebellion came from the darkness of the Empire, he was right, if that was what he meant - they had meant to see the entire galaxy submit with their planet destroyer, but it hadn’t, it had rallied the fight.

“But you’ve ..said it more eloquently that apparently I could.” She smiled again, looking to him and still leaning back against the counter. When it came down to it, she didn’t want to fight with him, and she didn’t want to push him away, not really. “You don’t have to care about, or even like everyone around here. But that doesn’t mean not being mindful about how you treat them, that in time they could come to mean as much to you as others do now. Strangers, or otherwise. No one deserves to be taunted, or goaded into some sort of altercation simply for sharing the room.” Maybe she’d said enough now, and from he’d understood her meaning, even if she’d perhaps not gone about it in entirely the right way. “Fine, if they steal your food, and throw your drink in your face- they probably deserve a taste of their own medicine.” She smirked faintly, recalling one of their earlier interactions, in an effort to ease things over. "So- yes we are. We just- make decisions about what is right." Like he said.

"You're wrong." Galen told her about her assumption that a child needs those things. "I will concede if you want your child to come out like you." His head nodded toward her some. "Then yes, those are required." But ultimately he shook his head. Starkiller, a codename more than a physical name, was raised without those things and grew to be a strong young adult. "A child only needs simple things to grow - food, water, shelter, and lastly a way to survive." It was disgusting outlook, but it was the truth. He was simply the truth of the fact. "I ultimately used the word care in the sense I was left in his care - not that he actually cared for me." There was a roll in his eyes. "PROXY was a robot he built to assist raising and teaching me. His primary programming though..." His dead eyes looked to Leia. "Was to kill me." That little haunt for Leia. Galen missed PROXY greatly.

As it stood, they were almost land locked in their conversation. She was trying to educate him in the error of his ways. His desire for conflict just so desired - though her lessons on how not to be an ass just because you could be an ass were heard. In their own right.

His eyes watched her carefully while he considered her words deeper. The things she had said, the things she conveyed, Galen could acknowledge that they held weight and consideration. Plus it was Leia. Someone he was finding himself desiring, even more now than previously when he so angered decided that she wasn't worth his efforts. She sort of really was.

"I will make more of an effort." Galen abruptly said as his face turned from her, in a display of defiance despite his agreeing to her not truly a request. It was a request in a veiled way, and Starkiller knew that. "I will do that for you." He agreed to her. Though his gaze went back to her as he conveyed something different. "Though I have one, just one single stipulation on this." He sounded urgent on this notion.

When he was sure he had her attention, he finally laid it out for her.

"You have to stop keeping me at arms length." He didn't mean physically. There was more than one occasion where they were quite close. "I know how you look at me on occasion. I can sense how you feel." He wasn't stupid. "You need to stop that. We are here." His finger pointed at the ground of his feet. "We are here now, we are here as it stands." Shaking his head. "No matter the time, we are here. Start living for a change." That was probably the Sith in him talking, but he meant it. There was something here, and he knew it. She just was fighting it for whatever reason, but truly Galen just wanted her to live in the moment a bit.

"You shouldn't worry heavily on the things you can't control, but the things you can."

It was chilling, the way he talked about it, spoke of child rearing as if it was how to keep a potted plant alive. Essentially, yes those things would keep a child living. But it was no way to care for one; she couldn’t help wondering if it was that he refused to accept what had happened to him, or that he really thought it truly was just another way to raise a child. The abuse that was the reality of Galen’s upbringing wasn’t something she felt she could press him on- at least not now. She wasn’t even certain she had the tools to help him uncover trauma to that level - let alone accept it. But, there was time and she would do her best to be there for him.

Again she kept silent - watching him as she supposed he was considering, mulling over their exchange as he had every right to do - she felt perhaps she’d worded it a little less harshly, and closer to it being less about change, or a fault in him she wanted gone - more, a form of growth, maturity when he was learning how to live as part of a community and having to deal with the others in it, even if you didn't much like them. She’s rather he do it for himself, for his own friendships, or attachments here - but she accepted it all the same.

Stipulation? She hadn’t come to this to make a deal - but it was only fair she listen and there was no protest as she looked at him.

However, her expression creased to his words, a mild sort of denial, as if she was genuinely confused about the meaning behind all he said. And if anything, confusion was, primarily what she felt more often than not in this world, much of the time and she didn’t like being told what he could, or couldn’t sense within her. Told in her still silent, more stubborn expression.

But, she had also spent most of her time in his home, asking Galen to consider what she, in turn had seen in him. No, this wasn’t fair at all

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” It wasn’t shot back, or even meant to be truly defensive, tone mild without a true effort to start an argument; but arms length? She was in his home wasn’t she? In some ways it was a truth, she didn’t. She didn’t know how to feel about this place, he knew she wanted to go home. What more could she do in Starklandia? When it could all change so rapidly.

“Start Living? We all- do the best we can here.” And she included herself in that. Leia was trying to find something to say. “I’ve taken up training with Obi-Wan. -There’s the scavenging trips.” Las Vegas, which she decided not to add to the list.

The look Leia was receiving was one that was equal to a facepalm. Therew as so much that Starkiller wanted to comment on, but he was almost lost for words. Just this blank stare of disbelief of what he was hearing.

Now, there was a few blinks and Galen snapped out of it.

"Wow." Was all he could say initially. "Just, wow. That was incredible." He commented. "I never met anyone to take anything so literally than you right now." He took a deep breath and sighed as if he was looking for what he was truly trying to say. It was just not there, and he wasn't sure if he could describe what he was truly thinking. "You see.." He stopped shaking his head looking off to the side at Lucario doing his own thing.

Back to Leia he opened his mouth to comment, but closed it instead. How could she be so stupid for not being stupid. Bullheaded. Stubborn. Insanely delusional.

"You're so dense." Starkiller commented before taking two quick steps forward and in one simple motion placed one hand on the back of her head as his head dipped to press his lips to hers in one simple kiss. Though before she could stop him, he broke the kiss and stepped away from her still facing her. Both eyebrows up, as if everything should be clear hoping to see that light bulb ding above her head.

Now Leia was feeling somewhat defensive, the look she was being given, a stare as if what she said made little sense - but she knew very well it did. It illustrated she was doing what she could, contributing what she could. “Of course- I’m going to take it literally-” Leia tried to counter, her voice raising a little, but there wasn’t a lot of room to argue him yet, certain at any moment he was going to start arguing with her again, about what she should or should not be doing. What it meant to live, here - and what would he know?

She didn't even anticipate his move and when he kissed her she froze, perhaps telling of where her mind was, that, yes she was entirely caught off guard by it - she didn’t even have time to process it before he was just standing there, before her looking expectantly as she remembered to take a breath again. There wasn’t a light-bulb flash where Leia took this moment as some sort of motivation, or understanding. But, there was plenty of silent panic; like she’d always done Leia kept that inside.

Sure. She had some idea how he felt for her - and perhaps she’d done the wrong thing in completely avoiding any kind of conversation to confront the issue, but she’d been injured, and she wanted to address it in the right way.

It seemed an age was passing, and she wasn’t saying a word as they stood there, she wasn’t avoiding looking at him though. “Whatever you think I-” She felt like all she could hear was her heart pounding in her ears; what that was from exactly, she wasn’t sure.

“You’re wrong about whatever it is you think I need-” She was adamant about this, her tone wasn’t harsh, she didn’t even sound angry or upset by what he’d done. It was hard to read much at all on the outside, and on the inside, it’d be a challenge to distinguish one emotion from the other, for all the mess it was. If anything, there was a slight overbrightness to her eyes before she looked away.

“I- should go.” She didn’t think he’d stop her, as she moved past and headed for the door.

And that was that. She was gone. Starkiller did nothing to stop her, other than watch her go from the corner of his eye in his peripheral. She was just gone like that.

Looking to Lucario, he shrugged. "I guess that wasn't the right move, was it." He commented about the kiss. Lucario growled in response, and he laughed lightly. He didn't understand the Pokemon, but he seemed articulate enough to convey his thoughts. At least Galen hoped so. HONK! The flamingo interjected.

With a sigh, he glanced down. "You're still here." HONK! Of course it responded to him, with it's great big beady eyes. "I fucking hate you." He muttered walking to his couch. "C'mon you two. Let pick out one of these movies Barbara insisted I watch." After all he had this television viewer and these weird discs that played motions on the screen.
