They did. They all expected bad things, and planned for worse things. No one here was only planting flowers and decorating their houses. They all had worries, concerns. Dark pasts. It just was what it was, and even if they didn't want it to, it was possible that it shaped the place around them. At least a little bit.
It was a bit too much on the magical side of theories, and Tony was loathe to go there, but that didn't mean it hadn't crossed his mind a few times.
"Well," Tony said with a sigh even as he shut BB-15's paneling. "I'm not mistaking peace with a Utopia. Perfection isn't attainable." He paused for a beat before smiling lopsidedly. "Even if I come pretty damn close."
