"I don't know," Tony said after a beat. "I've been given the theory that this place runs off of our own expectations in some way. Obviously, I have no real proof to back that up, but if it were the case, it'd explain a lot." Sure they all wanted nice things. But none of them really expected that, and always planned for the worst. Self fulfilling prophecies seemed right up their alleys.
"We only think it'd be unrealistic because we haven't seen it," Tony corrected mildly. "I like to think that peace is something achievable. I'd like to see it in my life time."
