"He was an expert at manipulation. When I went to talk to my father, the Emperor was waiting for me. He tried to manipulate me into killing him and joining him. I refused to do it though and then Palpatine tried to kill me. My father got between us and took all the Force lightning but was able to throw him down the Death Star's shaft." He closed his eyes for a moment as he gathered his thoughts. It had been only a few months in his time and he still hadn't processed everything he felt.
"That was the first and only time I saw my father," he said and opened his eyes. "He wore a helmet to help him breathe and he asked me to take it off for a moment so he could see me with his eyes and not Vader's. His face....he'd been burned badly, I couldn't tell you what he looked like. He did know about Leia though in those last moments, he got it from my mind. I tried to get him off the Death Star before it blew and I did get him away but he was already gone. I built a Jedi funeral pyre and burned what was left on Endor." He'd been the only person there and perhaps that was what Anakin Skywalker would have wanted. "At least I know he crossed over, I saw his Force ghost in the firelight when I returned to camp. I saw his real face and I could see myself there, Leia doesn't look like him, I think she must look like our mother. She went to Naboo on a short mission right after the battle on Endor, she saw some pictures of our mother, she said she was very beautiful."
