"At all times," Bill agreed quickly, because of course he was. He knew how to turn it on, when he needed to. Bill was really good at it, making people like him, perhaps getting them to let their guard down. But with Klaus he didn't try, it just kind of was. When they'd met Bill had been drawn in and it was easy to want to follow him around, do what he could to make him smile, to look out for him. He was a sucker for a pretty face, more so when they were sweet enough to come with a gift.

They'd tried for a bit to not get involved, to keep things casual and that was starting not to work so well. The more time they spent together, the more attached Bill became. Seeing Klaus so terrified in Vegas had stayed with him and he was ready to know more about what his life had been like before.

But he was good with drawing it out.

Bill reached for his waist as he pushed him gently up against the cupboards, leaning down to kiss him. "Better now," Bill said against his mouth.
