Klaus and Bill
Later maybe they'd have to talk about this, about this kind of reaction but that moment wasn't now, Klaus wasn't anywhere near ready to have an actual conversation at the moment, he was too caught up in his own fear and the stunned sort of horror that settled in against him as what had been a comfortable and even fun trip was suddenly something very very different.
Bill was good though, with that promise, that he wouldn't leave without him, that they were getting out - which was exactly what Klaus needed right then, to get out of this place, back to the quiet and the calm of their town.
He kept his hand on Bill after he'd put it there, needing that, like a lifeline in the middle of a raging sea and he was trying to keep his head above water. He flinched when a laser struck the barrier Bill had put up around them, ducking his head and seeking some sort of cover that there just wasn't. "Okay," He breathed out between great deep breaths like he was trying to catch his breath, "Okay what do we do?" Because he didn't care, he didn't care that he couldn't breathe or that he could feel his heart threatening to beat right out of his chest or that he could hear the screams of his fellow soldiers still ringing in his ears, he just needed to get out and Bill said they were going to so he needed to know how to make that happen.
