Yeah, well. John might have downplayed his own abilities left and right, and he always would probably but he was far from the petty dabbler that he described himself as. It just felt like a lot less pressure when you didn't have to be good at something. Or maybe he liked being underestimated. Whichever.
He dusted his hands off and watched his fire spread across the sky, a job not quite done, but it was working on it. He glanced over at Carol, raising an eyebrow. "Taking care of it?" He asked, torn between bemused and possibly having a real feeling about it.
