Re: Steve / Tony
The side splash was decidedly cute and Tony rose an eyebrow at Steve before leaning in for one more quick kiss. He wasn't trying to make a spectacle of them or anything, but he wasn't going to shy away from public affection either.
"You always say that," he told Steve. Tony rather thought that he hadn't been working hard enough -- he had his labs now, and everything that came with them in one bizarrely compact building, but the arc had come with it and had cost him a lot of time. He'd slept more in the last few weeks than he had since -- well. Since he'd showed up in town in the first place.
But maybe they did deserve it anyway. Tony could obviously do without it, but he missed being able to make easy and large extravagant gestures. Expensive booze felt like a luxury right now, but it wasn't all that much by Tony's old standards. "It has been a while, hasn't it. When was the last time?" He asked, as if he didn't know. "The con?" It had been. And god, they hadn't been anything except a couple of pining idiots with poorly veiled anger just underneath that. "This might be better."
Well, it was better. The hotel quality didn't even have anything to do with it -- even though that was better too.
