Galen Marek // Leia Organa
Leia had contemplated joining the others through those doors - given it was sweltering and there seemed to be no place particularly comfortable to go now. In fact as word was filtering back that they’d found a whole city; which had plenty of climate controlled areas along with plenty of things to see, a proper escape from the heat. She’d taken Rockruff down to the Lake and found it was hardly refreshing at all, brought to an unpleasant temperature by the relentless sun. Still the puppy Pokemon had splashed about a little.
Galen’s message had for that reason been perfect timing, an invitation to eat beyond the doors, which given Starklandia’s limited resources, sounded like an excellent treat, well deserved by their time in this world. Even if it hadn’t been required, it was also a chance to wear something of the traditional Alderaanian clothing that hung in her closet - gowns, robes and various things she hadn’t seen for years, not since she’d left and the planet had been destroyed. Whilst the Princess had always preferred practicality over pomp, even since her childhood; now she did look upon her more traditional, ornate clothing with a different eye, she’d lost much of her previous contempt for it. So, as she’d been taught all those years ago, she took care and great pride in her appearance; as much as if she really had been representing Alderaan this evening, even if she was the only one to know it.
Leia sent a message to her brother, so he’d know where she was, if there were so many games and attractions like everyone had said there were, maybe he’d be willing to come join them at some point? Then she headed through the doors.
Vegas, she’d been told it was called and the minute Leia stepped through, she could see why people had come here - for a start, the heat was immediately more bearable, none of the loathsome tropical humidity, it seemed like a sea of lights, somewhere between beautiful and terribly gaudy. With the instructions given, Leia made her way to the restaurant, trying not to get too distracted. She spotted Galen, before it appeared that he saw her.
“Galen.” She called his attention when she was close enough not to be yelling. “What an excellent idea. It certainly looks an interesting place, this one..” She greeted him with a smile.
