She rolled her eyes as he pointed out the lack of swing space, smirking and turning to look at him as she replied. "Well, I just mean maybe you can use that spidey-sense of yours to win a little money. Or craw up inside a pyramid. You can't tell me it's not tempting." She winked and turned back forward as they walked into the casino.
"Right??" She kind of loved it. The sights and sounds of the casino were a thing of beauty, if only because it fueled the adrenaline junky in her. Plus, air conditioning. Air conditioning was amazing.
"But something?" She raised an eyebrow. She'd made sure to grab what little cash she had, but she wasn't sure it was a good start. "Come on." Carol sidled up to a blackjack table, taking out a few dollars to exchange for chips and turning back to him.
"You can watch me if you like," her eyes were on the cards, though. As the dealer put one down she kept a careful count of the other players and the dealer's. "Hit me." And when the dealer busted she grinned as more chips were added to her pile and she doubled the bet.
A few minutes later, Carol had upped her $20 to about $200 and she grabbed the chips and stood back up. "So, you think this place has poker?"
