And then Steve had to come back and literally choose the perfect superhero pose and she found herself kind of twitching in the eye as he surveyed the river as if he could try and spy some of her escaped clothes. "Yeah, well, uh, thanks," she said, wondering if Steve would find it appropriate if she hugged him as a show of her gratitude.
That was when he raised his hand to wave at someone and Kate whipped around to look up and see...was that two Tony's observing the whole thing? "Oh nooo," she groaned, turning back around and shielding her eyes on either side so maybe they wouldn't recognize her? She wasn't even sure if they knew who she was. Still, she felt her cheeks grow warm and she glanced at Steve for a moment. "Are they still there? Have they always been there?" How long had they been standing there?! Hopefully not too long to be witness to Kate's embarrassing, but heroic rescue by Steve.
Her back was still turned as the young Tony ran off and she turned her head, keeping her hands up as she looked at Steve. "Are they still there?" she whispered.
