Yeah. There was definitely no noise that came from the younger Tony. Definitely nothing that was like a guilty, slightly high pitched squeak. And Tony, the older Tony, definitely didn't hear it. Not even remotely. So that was a thing.
As far as first meetings went, this wasn't a particularly great one for two people where were effectively the same person give or take a number in the heavy twenties. But maybe that was for the best, because Tony had been putting this off for a while now, and it was possible he could keep on going if he tried hard enough. They just had to focus on something else instead of themselves.
Steve was great for a distraction, at least. "He just doesn't. It's not a thing. He's out there saving the lives of girls who are in no way in danger of actual drowning, and all their awkward underthings. All because there are no baby foreheads to kiss." It wasn't true, and Tony certainly didn't believe it, but he did think Steve had no real idea of how blindingly distracting he was. He was in the heat of the moment, there was simply no time for anything but was most important.
