This place just got weirder and cooler with each passing day, there were all sorts of interesting people coming by the day, strange and interesting things happening, new stories from people who went through the doorway and found different places each time they went through. Or some people finding the same place. All of left Tony interested and eager to learn more.
And he was wandering through town just to see what was going on when he noticed a little bit of activity happening in the water, and he immediately missed his hot tub, maybe he could figure out something to get that back, or make a new one he supposed, so that this place could be - in time - almost as comfortable as his home had been. But his thoughts of hot tubs were stalled out as he got nearer and then immediately stopped in his tracks when he clicked that it wasn't just people playing around in the water it was Steve.
Well Steve and a girl he wasn't sure he knew who looked like she'd been trying to be swept away. Which meant that Steve had to go in after her to rescue her from a watery grave. And apparently that meant he had to take his shirt off to do it. Not that he thought there was anything weird about that, far be it from Tony to suggest that Steve shouldn't take his shirt off. Not when he was saving lives, because of course he was, because not only was he some kind of Adonis, he was also a real life hero. One who saved people with his shirt off, so that when he stood up again his hair wet and slicked back water pouring down his shoulders and over his chest and you know over those abs. And well Tony had just been unprepared for such a thing to catch his eye as he'd been walking past, so he stopped. And yeah maybe he stared, but here's the thing, this was something special - it was Steve. Not his Steve to be sure, but it was Steve. And his shirt was off, and oh god his shirt was off and Tony could not do anything other than stare. And he prayed a silent sort of prayer that Steve would be far more focused on the girl he was saving and not where Tony was stuck staring. Because there was absolutely no dignity to be had in this moment, even focused on Steve as he was he knew that much.
