There was no way in hell Kitty would have let John get away with staying dry and just watching her run around with Squirtle and Lockheed. But she had a partner in crime with all of this after all and she didn't have to plead with Squirtle to get him to turn his attentions to John. And she watched with delight on her face as John tried to warn him off before he was soaked just like the rest of them.
Kitty laughed loud and bright as he was soaked through, and then shrieked a peal of laughter when John jumped off the steps and ran after her. She set off at a run. "No! It wasn't me!" She cried, "I'm innocent!"
The animals were on her side though and Lockheed swooped up behind her spreading his wings wide to block John and slow him up a bit giving Kitty the chance to put a little bit more distance between them as she circled around to the front of the house and then back around to the back again, peering around the corner, like she might be able to sneak up on him, after she'd insured that he wasn't immediately behind her.
