"It's not everything it's made out to be" she answered. She certainly had her share of issues waiting for her if she ever did make it back there. And to be honest she had never really had much of home there. The only real home she had ever known was on the plateau, and the idea of never seeing it again or the people she left behind was more saddening to her than the idea of never seeing London again....as shocking as that may be.
"I do worry for my friends, but I certainly hope that wherever they are they are safe" she continued on, before changing the subject. "I've been on my own before, so this really isn't new to me".
"Cool? Are you cold?" she asked, not really familiar with his slang. Of course being from the early 1900s she wasn't familiar with a lot of things in this strange place, but she caught on quick. So, it would take her long to learn the things she needed to learn to survive in this place.
