Nah, Nyx was fairly stubborn though. There wasn't much belief there was a thing developing here, other than a conversation. Plus, based on what he did know about her there was one simple fact. There was almost a decade of years between them, and she wasn't exactly warm to interactions. Even Nyx had certain requirements for a relationship, despite his own weird pitfalls.
The Glaive utilized the knife while listening to her stories, and his eyes glanced up to the magic at hand. Now that was interesting, though he kept his face passive. It was also interesting about the dead and returning and dead and returning. "Wow. That is quite the story." Nyx set the hand down holding the knife on the counter in front of him. "Few questions." He considered his thoughts some. "What's the, anti-Christ." At that point, he'd also match her show and tell. Carefully he tossed the knife onto the other side of the island then he vanished and reappeared holding the kitchen knife on the other side of the counter near her. Reaching out he took the cigarette from her before putting it in his mouth and tossing the knife back to where he started.
Cigarette hanging from his mouth he shrugged some. Going about his preparing he spoke through the cigarette.
"Where I come from, I was an elite soldier for a king. I was called Kingsgliave. We were tasked with many different high priority tasks." Pulling the deathstick from his mouth he thought back. "I fought in many conflicts." Which would explain the different scars that were across his body. "The last was for the city -" Nyx looked to Madison. "The cities name was Insomnia." Sucking on the cigarette a moment, he placed the cigarette on the edge of the counter while he moved the vegetables near where his pan was heating. Next were eggs being mixed in a bowl. "King was murder in an invasion. I then put on a magical ring that allowed me to talk to the kings of the past." Thinking back Nyx remembered far more vividly that conversation. "They granted me their power, and I fought till dawn for my falling city where I then died burning from the inside out from the powers they granted me." His eyes fell on Madison, with a small smile. "Now here I am, cooking you breakfast." Setting the bowl down he drank the coffee and resumed smoking the cigarette he stole from her.
